Pre-processing of Dry Powder Mixing (Also called Pretreatment)
The purpose of pre-processing to to increase the quality and efficient of dry powder mixing.
The aim of pre-processing is to adjust every physical index to approach each other and make it
much easier for the latter mixing.
There are three key physical indexes that affect the mixing are: particle diameter, bulk density
and fluidity.If the differences between the mixing powders are too big,the mixture can not be
mixed evenly.Therefore,we need to do the following adjustments.
1, If the difference is too big between in the different powder in the most crude and the fine
species diffe-rence is too large, it is difficult to mix them evenly
To place the most coarse powder prior to crushing and grinding in this case, let the particle
size of powder particle size is close to the overall average value, and then participate in the mixed.
For example, a batch to be the catalyst powder mixed powders is 300, the coarse powder is 30,
the first around the ground to 100 mesh coarse powder again in the mixed, mixed effect will be
greatly enhanced.

reducing the sinking of the power, improve the mixing effect.
3, some to be mixed powder is too wet, poor mobility, is not easy to mix evenly, and easy to form
composite pellets in the mixing process (i.e. the ball). With this powder on the need to first on the
dehumidification drying, high liquidity, and then participate in the mixing process is easy to mix evenly.
4, the pre processing is not a panacea, some powder is super light powder, superfine powder do
coarsening, cannot re processing, which would be using other methods to solve problems; and the
liquidity some powder is not good is the essence of decision, drying can not solve the problem.
