The aim of the pretreatment is to increase the mixing quality and efficiency. The pretreatment is intended to bring the product characteristics of various kinds of mixing powders on the same ground,thus beneficial for futher mixing. There are three critical indicators that affect the powder mixture:partical sizes and specific gravity as well as flowability. It is very difficult to achieve uniform mixture if there is a wide gap of the characteristics exsiting between the powders. a couple of adustments need to be made to solve this problem. in case of big discrepancy between the powders,it is very difficult to mix them throughly. such being the case, the coarsest powders need to be grinded first to have the grain diameter to be as close as possible to the average value of grain diameter of the entire mixing batch prior to mixing process. For example, in a mixing batch consisting of catalyst and coarse ores, of which the partical size of the catalyst is 300 and that of the coarse ores is 30,  grinding the coarse ores to 100 will have a much better mixing effect. it is very difficult to achieve uniform mixing if the heavy-light powders have a large specific gravity difference. for instance, salt in the seasoning is often sticking at the bottom of the vessel during mixing to have undesirable mixing result. this problem can be easily sovled by grinding the salt first to let the diameter become smaller so that the unit space becomes bigger, resulting in less specific gravity,lighter partical,less downward motion and better mixing effect. some powders, with too much damp and bad flowability tending towards lumps during the mixing process ,have mixing difficulties. Has this kind of powder been dried and dehumidified to increase its flowability, the mixing process will become much easier. the method of pretreatment does not cover all the cases. for powders with super light weight or volume, the process of coarsing and weighing is invalid and the problem should be solved by other methods. if the bad flowability is the basic character of the powder, process of dying can not slove the problem.\
